1. The proposed Registration and Access Control System for restricted area will have the registration information for personnel. When the visitor arrives at the area, the operator has to check his/her personal particular manually, and then hands over an physical access card to the visitor. The visitor uses the access card to access the approved restricted zones.
Challenges: Admission procedure for personnel is largely manual. Access to restricted zones depends on physical access cards.
2. The proposed RACS will have the registration information for the vehicle. When the vehicle arrives the restricted area, the operator and security guard have to check the car plate with their eyes and then crosscheck with the system, in order to decide whether to let the vehicle in.
Challenges: Admission procedure for vehicles is largely manual.
