Use Case

AIoT Smart Site Safety and Management Solution proposed by InfoSMART has been practically deployed across more than 65 construction and civil works sites in Hong Kong, covering public works, institutional facilities, transport infrastructure, and building projects. The solution is fully aligned with the Development Bureau (DevB) mandatory Smart Site Safety System (4S) requirements and has been proven under live construction and maintenance environments.(1) Improvement to Public ServicesEnhanced Site Safety and Accident Prevention By integrating AI cameras, IoT sensors, and real-time analytics, the system continuously monitors high-risk activities and unsafe conditions on site. Potential hazards can be identified at an early stage, enabling timely intervention by site management. This reduces the likelihood of industrial accidents and enhances the safety of workers and the public surrounding government works projects.Improved Regulatory Oversight and Compliance Efficiency The solution automatically consolidates 4S-related data into a centralised digital platform, providing real-time dashboards and traceable electronic records. This significantly reduces reliance on manual inspections and paper-based reporting, improving transparency, audit readiness, and compliance efficiency for government departments and project supervisors.Stronger Project Management and Data-Driven Decision Making Through a unified management platform, authorised personnel can obtain real-time visibility across multiple sites, supporting data-driven supervision, resource allocation, and operational decision making. This improves the overall governance and management effectiveness of public works projects.(2) Cost Efficiency and Public Service BenefitsOptimised Operational and Management Costs The solution adopts a modular and scalable architecture, allowing deployment according to project scale and requirements. This avoids unnecessary upfront investment while reducing recurring costs related to manual inspections, incident handling, and post-accident remedial works.More Efficient Use of Public Resources Automation of safety monitoring and digital record-keeping enables public works projects to achieve higher safety and compliance standards without proportional increases in manpower. Public resources are therefore utilised more efficiently and sustainably.Support for Long-Term Smart Government Development Having been validated across more than 65 real project deployments, the solution demonstrates readiness to scale from proof-of-concept to territory-wide adoption. It provides a robust foundation for future government initiatives in smart construction, safety management, and data-driven public service delivery.SummaryInfoSMART’s 4S-aligned AIoT solution, supported by over 65 deployed application sites, has demonstrated its maturity, reliability, and practical value. The solution delivers measurable improvements in safety, compliance efficiency, and project management while achieving strong cost effectiveness. It directly supports the Government’s objectives in enhancing public service quality, operational efficiency, and sustainable smart infrastructure development.
